I’m a quilter at heart and I love to finish quilts.

      

I was named after my grandmother and when she passed away she left me a Sunbonnet Sue quilt top (top left). I knew that I wanted to finish it myself in her memory.

I had a divine intervention when I met a quilter named Ruth.  She would become my teacher, mentor and friend.  Ruth taught me how to piece and hand quilt, then I hand quilted my grandmother’s quilt top.

When I was the guild chair of the Indianapolis Out to Lunch Bunch, I received Sunbonnet Sue blocks made by the members and I machine quilted it on my regular sewing machine. (top right)

In July, 2013 I purchased the long arm machine and in August began the business called Around the Vine Quilting.

In addition to being an accomplished quilter, I am also a public speaker. I enjoy speaking to groups both large and small.
