I joined the Material Girls quilt club that meets the second Saturday of each month in the Shelbyville library.  What a good group of fun quilting women!  I signed up to be a secret quilting sister.  They exchange names and for one year you send gifts to your secret sister and your secret sister sends you gifts.  The secret sister is revealed at the end of the year, unless you guess beforehand.  Since I am not good at keeping secrets I have to avoid my secret sister so that I don’t yell, “It’s me.”  Maybe you are good at keeping secrets and this game is fun to you.

At the January meeting I received my first gift from my secret sister, this beautiful panel. The panel is made by Kensington Studio for Quilting Treasures, so I went to their website http://www.quiltingtreasures.com and typed in Amazing Grace and found a free pattern for the panel. Sweet! I found the coordinating fabric’s in my stash and the wall size quilt was completed in time for the February meeting.  I love this secret sister and look forward to a great year of gifts and giving good gifts!  God has given us the best gift of eternal life through His Son, Jesus. That’s Amazing Grace!
