Quilting with Fleece -One of Three

I like to use cotton fabrics for my quilts, but I thought I would give fleece a try.  On this quilt top I cut cotton fabrics (Black, Gray and Indianapolis Colts) into strips and sewed them together.  I like to personalize my quilts by embroidering the name of the new owner.  The width is about 53 inches and I bought 60 inch wide blue Fleece from Wal-Mart.  I quilted the digitized football design by Nancy Haacke with gray Omni thread. I added polyester light weight batting in the middle.  The polyester batting gave it a puffy look that wasn’t too heavy.  I thought it quilted up very nicely and a soft feel to the back.  I would use the fleece backing again!
